The Role of Anthropometry in Architecture
As is known, the science of anthropometry has many roles in various fields. Fields such as sports, industrial engineering, police academy, nutrition, medicine, to architecture. On this occasion, Solo Abadi discussed the role of anthropometry in architecture.
It turns out that the term anthropometry in architecture is more familiar with the terms accessibility and ergonomics. I Gede said that accessibility and ergonomics principles can be realized through measurements of the human body. The reason is that housing is built to create comfort for its residents, as explained by I Gede Teguh Pratama in a talk session.
“In this day and age, I think. Sometimes what you are looking for (from a dwelling) is not just a match or something, but really comfort. So in our opinion, the development of the science of anthropometry… the development of the science of anthropometry itself, is needed to support this convenience,” explained the founder and CEO of Nattapuri.
