Village funds are a form of government strategy for villages to develop and improve potential and problems in the village. In 2024, the village fund budget will increase by 3.5 percent compared to 2023. The preparation of village fund budgets has been regulated based on the Permendesa regarding the use of village funds, namely PP No. 7 of 2023 in accordance with Law No. 19.

7 Village Fund Allocation Priorities
1. Extreme Poverty Alleviation
25% of the village fund budget is allocated for extreme poverty alleviation. The program formed is the provision of Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) to achieve the target of Beneficiary Families.
2. Intervention to accelerate TB elimination
The acceleration of TB elimination is included in the priority list for the use of village funds by the direction of Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 67 of 2021 concerning tuberculosis control. In this case, village funds are prioritized for interventions to accelerate TB elimination with a target of reaching 80%.
3. Vegetable and animal food security
In accordance with the President’s direction regarding the utilization of village funds in vegetable and animal food security, it is currently focused on increasing food availability, accessibility, and stability. The village becomes the driving force of the economy through community empowerment.
The government ensures that food supply through villages meets the needs of the community. With the allocation of village funds increasing is the main aspect. The government is committed to creating an environment that supports national food security holistically.
4. Drug prevention
Based on Presidential Instruction No. 2 of 2020 concerning the Action Plan for the Eradication of Abuse and Illicit Circulation of Narcotics (P4GN), it is a list included in the village fund budget. This program is prioritized in the prevention of drug abuse, drug prevention education, and socialization about the dangers of drugs.
5. Reduction in stunting
Alleviation of stunting problems is a list included in the allocation of village funds. 7. Optimization of the implementation of the national health insurance program
In accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 1 of 2022 concerning the optimization of the implementation of the national health insurance program. This is to achieve the acceleration of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) target in 2024. In addition, it also encourages local governments to participate in the activeness of JKN contributions. The government’s target related to JKN is at least 95% of the total population.
