Surakarta, PT. Solo Abadi Indonesia – (22/02/2022) Once again, PT. Solo Abadi Indonesia is re-gluing its ranks as the private sector in efforts to eradicate stunting in Indonesia. We are the only domestic producer and distributor of Anthropometric Instruments appointed directly by Prof. Dr. dr. Damayanti Rusli Sjarif, Sp.A(K), as Chair of the Anthropometry Working Group of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia to provide Stadiometers in accordance with Ministry of Health standards to be distributed in the Anthropometry Pilot Project in Wonorejo Village, Sragen Regency.
The Anthropometry Pilot Project is a pilot project supervised by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia as realization of the Socialization Meeting on the Need for Medical Devices in Support of the Community Nutrition Program which was held on Friday, 04 February 2022 with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. This pilot project itself is also a form of commitment from PT. Solo Abadi Indonesia to participate in helping the Government of Indonesia to eradicate stunting by providing Anthropometry Kits in accordance with the standards of the Government of Indonesia and the World Health Organization.
After going through a briefing by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the Portable Stadiometer produced by PT. Solo Abadi Indonesia can finally be distributed to 8 Posyandu in Wonorejo Village, Sragen Regency, Central Java. The distribution process is under the supervision of the Kedawung I Health Center, through Ms. Desiana as a Pediatrician, Ms. Wiwin as a Midwife and Ms. Okta as a Child Nutritionist in Wonorejo Village. According to Mrs. Okta’s confession, efforts to reduce stunting rates in Wonorejo Village have involved various sectors in the village.
“Alhamdulillah, for alleviating stunting in Wonorejo Village, we are grateful that we have involved a lot of KPM (Human Development Cadres), who routinely measure children and toddlers voluntarily every month.. we give regular supplements and milk as well, those are also from the government too,” she explained
PT team. Solo Abadi Indonesia found that in this routine measurement process, KPM and Puskesmas Cadre only had one Stadiometer measuring instrument. The stadiometer used is also quite heavy, making it difficult to mobilize health workers. Through the Anthropometry Pilot Project by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, it has improved facilities and infrastructure for stunting prevention in Wonorejo Village.
“This stadiometer really helps us… because yesterday we only had one, for 8 Posyandu, Alhamdulillah now one posyandu already has one stadiometer, especially now from Solo Abadi it can be carried everywhere because it has a bag so it’s very easy for us to mobilize.” added Mrs. Wiwin as the Wonorejo Village Midwife who is involved in stunting alleviation every day.
