Surakarta, PT. SOLO ABADI INDONESIA – Solo Abadi adheres to the principle of kinship at work, always trying to foster a sense of trust and solidity for every employee. We believe this can be achieved if communication between employees is maintained properly. Therefore, we try to improve employee speaking skills by launching the Speak Training Solo Abadi.
Speak training itself has been held since 2017, but then went into a vacuum and was held again in 2019 regularly once a month in the third week. In addition to achieving good communication between divisions, this agenda is held to understand each other’s characteristics of each employee.
In practice, speak training is guided by two Masters of Ceremony or MC and two speakers who are randomly selected each week. Employees who are not responsible as MCs or presenters become the audience who listens and asks questions during the question and answer session.
The employee in charge sometimes also prepare supporting instruments such as presentation files that are displayed on a monitor. The material presented is not limited to specific information but can also raise light topics such as tips and tricks, share personal experiences and other discussions. Because the initial purpose of speaking training is to improve employee speaking skills. Then the presenter’s character will be evaluated and if it is considered lacking, it will be repeated next week, this is done for the sake of accelerated speaking ability. So far, speaking training has been conducted 24 times.
Speak training is expected to support employee insight, and increase the confidence of each employee. The ability to speak is not only useful when working at Solo Abadi but also useful in the daily lives of employees.
