Surakarta, PT Solo Abadi Indonesia — Monday (21/2/2022) PT Solo Abadi Indonesia sent anthropometric chairs to the Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta. The department uses anthropometric chairs as a practicum and student learning tool. The delivery of anthropometric chairs was delivered directly by technicians and sales from PT Solo Abadi Indonesia, Sigit Dwi Prasetyo, and Muhammad Taufan from Solo to UGM, Yogyakarta.
The Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology has 4 laboratory rooms, namely the engineering laboratory of working procedures, layout and handling of materials, production systems, and ergonomic applications of product design and development. Anthropometric chairs in the future will be used as a support for student learning in the application of ergonomics and product planning.
Before using anthropometric chairs, ergonomic measurements in this department use measurement made of wood since 2003 or almost 20 years. However, because the measurement work is fairly perfunctory, making the measurement of the wood is not durable or easily fragile so took the initiative to switch to anthropometric chairs from PT Solo Abadi Indonesia. The TPI Department’s labor staff revealed that he was aware of the anthropometric chair because there were partners who were in the Department of Industrial Engineering that there was an anthropometric chair made of aluminum, after which we submitted to the department and the approved department.

Sigit Dwi Prasetya and Muhammad Taufan as anthropometric chair technicians from PT Solo Abadi Indonesia showed installation and provided training or directions on how to measure the human body using anthropometric chairs to the labor team of the Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology, Guntarti Tatik Mulyati, MT. This time the measurement training is exemplified as many as 34 measurements of the dimensions of the human body. During the training session, the labor team was enthusiastic about seeing and how to measure using this anthropometric chair.
When the training session ended, tip department labor staff, Guntarti Tatik Mulyati thanked him for the training given and was very happy there was an anthropometric chair. “One Indonesia needs (anthropometric chair) you know, mas for better student learning this one. This overall (anthropometric seat measurement range) is already good. Thank you, hopefully, there will be no difficulties in the future, “said Guntarti.
