The Presidential Instruction was signed by President Jokowi on Wednesday (30/03/2022).
The Presidential Instruction is specifically aimed at government instruments. Namely the Ministers of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet, Cabinet Secretary (Seskab), Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP), Head of Non-Ministerial Government Institutions (LPNK), Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Chief of Police Republic of Indonesia (Kapolri), Head of the Secretariat of State Institutions, Governors. And lastly Regents or Mayors.
This is a form of follow-up to the disappointment expressed by the number one figure in the Republic of Indonesia regarding the procurement of imported goods. He revealed that if all SOEs used domestic products to purchase goods and services, economic growth could rise to 0.4 percent. But in practice, it turns out that there are still many SOEs that use imported goods.
In the Presidential Instruction it is stated to use domestic products that have a minimum TKDN value of 25% and the total value of TKDN and the value of the Company’s Benefit Weight of 40%.
Using domestic products that have a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) value of at least 25% (twenty five percent) if there are domestic products with the sum of the TKDN value and a minimum Company Benefit Weight value of 40% (forty percent)”
