Surakarta, PT Solo Abadi Indonesia – Anthropometry Kit is a complete instrument for measuring length, height, weight, as well as arm and head circumference. Measurement through the Anthropometry Kit aims to determine the nutritional status of infants and toddlers. This makes the Anthropometry Kit an important instrument in efforts to reduce stunting in Indonesia.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (KEMENKES RI) held a Socialization of Anthropometry Kit Standards on Thursday, June 2, 2022 through a Zoom Meeting. The discussion moderated by Rian Anggraini, as staff of the Ministry of Health, was attended by more than 1,000 participants consisting of the Blueprint Team of the Ministry of Health, Deputy for Monitoring of the KPK, Regional Health Offices, the Work Unit for the Procurement of Goods and Services (UKPBJ), Nutrition and Maternal and Child Health Services and Puskesmas spread across various regions in Indonesia.
The specifications and use of the Anthropometry Kit were delivered by the Head of the Toddler and Pre-School Health Work Team, Director of Nutrition and MCH, Dr. Nida Rahmawati. In its delivery, the standard update of the Anthropometry Kit aims to improve the standard of the Anthropometry Kit so as to produce accurate data in determining child nutrition.
The discussion that lasted for two hours discussed updating the standards or specifications for Anthropometry Kit and 2D Ultrasound Equipment in the Implementation of the 2022 Regular Physical DAK. This discussion was also symbolic of the lifting of the Medical Device Shopping Ban or the Letter of Appeal for Temporary Delay in Procurement of Anthropometry Kits and 2D USG. This means that each region with a Physical DAK allocation can procure Anthropometry Kits and 2D Ultrasound Equipment through E-Catalog.
There are 29 tool specifications that must be met by each tool. Two of them became the highlight of the discussion, namely the change in the manual Anthropometry Kit specification to digital and the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) value.
For baby scales and stamping scales, it must be digital, right.. all weighing is optional, for length (infantometer) or height (stadiometer) it’s optional”
Domestic Component Level (TKDN) is a mandatory certification that represents the value of the domestic component of a product. TKDN is a new mandatory requirement in the procurement of Anthropometry Physical DAK 2022. This is a representation of Indonesia’s efforts to be independent in the field of Medical Devices, in accordance with the direction of Presidential Decree (Kepres) Number 24 of 2018.
“For E-Purchasing on Electronic Catalogs, it must be in order of priority… the first is to make sure domestic products have a TKDN value and a BMP value of at least 40%”
said Dahlan Eron as PMO of Public Health
Through the Socialization of KIT Anthropometry Standards and 2D USG, the government hopes that Physical DAK can be utilized in accordance with the latest standards, so that the best quality of KIT Anthropometry and 2D USG can be distributed in all regions and produce accurate data.
