Surakarta, PT Solo Abadi Indonesia — Friday (4/2) PT Solo Abadi Indonesia had the opportunity to attend the invitation to socialize health needs in primary services organized by the Directorate of Assessment of Medical Devices and PKRT, Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices, and the Ministry of Health online through zoom video conference. This event takes place from 15.00-17.00 WIB. This event was attended by approximately 360 participants in medical device businesses throughout Indonesia.
The purpose of this socialization is to provide direction about the needs of medical devices in primary services handling stunting and family and improving community nutrition. Currently, medical device manufacturers in Indonesia reach 660 business actors. The importance of direction in the manufacture of medical devices desired by users (health workers) to the medical device industry to comply with the standards of measuring instruments from WHO.
Socialization opened with a speech from Irjen Kemenkes, drg. Murti Utami, MPH. He said that the need for measuring instruments in handling stunting is precise and by WHO standards.
“Currently the stunting rate in Indonesia is at 24%, whereas our target for a decrease in stunting numbers should be at 14%. The need for measuring instruments such as scales, baby length measuring instruments in a precise primary service for screening is necessary because it will affect the achievement of stunting numbers,” said Murti Utami.
Irjen Kemenkes drg. Murti Utami, MPH also requested that every posyandu in Indonesia must have at least one anthropometric tool. Because stunting checks on children start from posyandu. He also called for medical device manufacturers to all be produced domestically and must meet the appropriate standards.
The same thing was also expressed by the Director-General of Farmalkes, Dr. apt. Lucia Rizka Andalusia. Apt. M.Pharm, MARS. He asked for the needs of medical devices produced domestically following WHO standards, namely precision and user-friendly for health workers. This will also affect the increase in domestic products.
Socialization materials were delivered by the Directorate of Public Nutrition of the Directorate General of Health, Dr. RR Dhian Probhoyekti, SKM, MA. He revealed the need for medical devices used to support community nutrition programs. In addition, the standard of measuring instruments has been regulated in the Decree of the Minister of Health No. 51 of 2022. All measuring instruments used must already have an SNI.
Pediatrician and Stunting Specialist, Prof. Dr. dr. Damayanti Rusli Sjarif, SpA(K) also provide input and direction on the needs of medical devices. He said that stunting in Indonesia is still high compared to Vietnam.
“Children with stunted IQ dropped by 20%. Stunting detection starts from posyandu to find out which child has the risk of stunting and then the child is referred to the health center doctor for further treatment, “he said.
Prof Damayanti also asked medical device manufacturers for measuring devices such as infant matter board and toddler scale has an accuracy of 5-10 grams instead of 100 grams.
Representative of PT Solo Abadi Indonesia, Hanif Bramasta Ibrahim also gave his opinion by introducing the infantometer board measuring instrument he produced. He revealed that the infantometer board owned by PT Solo Abadi Indonesia was by the standards and criteria expected from the Ministry of Health.
This received appreciation from Prof. Damayanti that the infantometer board measuring instrument from PT Solo Abadi Indonesia is by WHO standards and is used in health facilities today. It is expected that other medical device manufacturers can follow the desired demand by users (health workers).
