Surakarta, PT Solo Abadi Indonesia — PT Solo Abadi Indonesia on (25/01) participated in a discussion on “Audience with Domestic Scale Manufacturers” organized by the Directorate of Health Assessment and PKRT, Directorate General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices, and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia online through the Zoom meeting platform. This discussion began at 08.30-10.00 WIB. In today’s discussion, PT Solo Abadi Indonesia was represented by Hanif Bramesta Ibrahim as Customer Service and Yusmaya Rafifah as Electromedic to follow the discussion until it was completed.
This discussion was attended by 11 members of the domestic scales industry, including PT Solo Abadi Indonesia. This discussion discussed the provision of anthropometric measuring instruments that include maternal and child scales, height (stadiometer), and measuring the circumference of the arms and head. Also discussed are the criteria in the manufacture of anthropometric measuring instruments that are in accordance with WHO standards.
The holding of this discussion by the Ministry of Health, because there are several measurements or anthropometric devices produced, does not match the criteria of the WHO used against infants and children. In addition, there is also a measurement limit on the scales exceeding the number recommended by WHO. The criteria of measuring baby scale or baby scales have a standard measurement of 10 grams or 0.01 kg. The criteria for making scales are recommended through ultrasound or laser. Scales can be used user-friendly and accurately in measurements.
This discussion can socialize about the standard criteria of measurement tools by WHO. Not only that, but the procurement of measuring instruments must also have a circular permit and SNI standard. The criteria of measuring instruments have been regulated in the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia number HK.01.07/Menkes/51/2022 on Anthropometric Tool Standards and Early Detection Tools for Child Development.
In the discussion session each participant is given the opportunity to convey about the products they produce and problems in the development of their products. Hanif Bramesta Ibrahim, as a representative of PT Solo Abadi Indonesia said that the production of measuring instruments from PT Solo Abadi Indonesia is still active, but all measuring products have not been included in the e-catalog at the Government Procurement Agency.
“Products from PT Solo Abadi Indonesia that we are still actively producing are stadiometer (height measuring device), infantometer (baby length measuring device), and anthropometric kit bag. All our products have not been aired in the e-catalog, even though they already have tkdn and akd. For the products we are developing, namely weight scales and baby scales,” said Hanif Bramesta Ibrahim.
The Ministry of Health urges all measuring equipment industries should go into the e-catalog to be easy to buy. If it is not included in the e-catalog will ignite in the purchase mechanism even though the product is local. The Ministry of Health also recommends for the medical measuring equipment industry to be able to become a member of Indonesian Medical Device Procurement Association to be facilitated in the e-catalog entry process. At the end of the discussion, the Ministry of Health hopes that activities like this can be carried out every year to revive and develop the domestic medical device product industry.
Until now PT Solo Abadi Indonesia is still developing the production of measuring instruments, including scales. Also still continue to try to enter the e-catalog in LKPP to facilitate the procurement of domestic production measuring instruments in the future.
