Services provided in Poli KIA

Poli KIA is an outpatient health service at the puskesmas that focuses on pregnant women, maternity mothers, breastfeeding mothers, infants, and toddlers. With the MCH Poly, mothers and children get guaranteed access to health services. The existence of the MCH Poly is regulated in the regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 44 of 2019 concerning Community Health Centers. Services that can be provided by pregnant women include:

  • Antenatal care (ANC)
  • Maternity and post partum services

  • Perinatal complication or maternal services
  • Ultrasound (USG)
  • Classes for pregnant women

  • Immunization
  • Integrated Management of Sick Toddlers (MTBS) 
  • Integrated Management of Young Toddlers (MTBM)

MCH Poly Service Flow

For mothers who will come or for the first time to the MCH Poly, they must know the flow of health checks at the puskesmas. The following is the flow of health services at the MCH Poly:

  • Mothers come to the puskesmas by taking the queue number that has been provided. 
  • After taking the queue number, the mother can wait in front of the oil or waiting place provided at the health center.
  • The officer will call the name according to the order of the queue number. 
  • The officer will carry out patient identification. 
  • First, the officer will review the data through anamnese and physical examination.
  • Furthermore, the officer will record the results of the examination on the medical record and patient care record. 
  • After that, the officer will tell the treatment procedure or action to be taken. 
  • Then, the officer will provide counseling about IEC to patients and families. 
  • The clerk will give the patient a prescription. Or you can also provide referrals to other health places with more complete facilities. 
  • Finally, the officer will direct the patient to the cashier or medicine room. 
  • After that, the patient is allowed to go home. 

With BPJS, Mother and Child Free Access to MCH Poly Services

BPJS Kesehatan or Social Security Organizing Agency is a health card that can be owned by the public to get free health services. The use of BPJS starts from the first health facility, namely the puskesmas. One of the uses of BPJS is used for health services at the MCH Poly.

This is so that access to health services can be felt and evenly distributed for the community, especially pregnant women can use BPJS. With BPJS, mothers can get services at the MCH Poly for free.
