On Friday (11/2/2022) PT Solo Abadi Indonesia also attended the Launching of the Sectoral Electronic Catalog organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. This activity takes place from 13.00-15.00 WIB. This activity was carried out virtually through Zoom meeting which was attended by approximately 500 participants of health workers and medical device businesses in Indonesia.
The sectoral electronic catalog is an application launched by the Ministry of Health as a transformation of domestic procurement technology to be fast, transparent, independent, responsible, and credible. This application will also be directly monitored by the Ministry of Health accompanied by the Government Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The launch of the sectoral electronic catalog received a positive response from the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo delivered by the Head of LKPP, Abdullah Azwar Anas in his speech. “The expectations and directions of the President in the launch of this sectoral e-catalog to be more transparent, efficient in the procurement of goods and services,” he said.
“Sectoral health is a crucial issue today to improve the level of health of citizens to strengthen domestic medical devices. Direction from the President in the procurement system of goods and services must be able to generate added value for the community. For this reason, the procurement of government goods/services must be able to prioritize the use of domestic products, “he continued.
Indonesian Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin was also present to give a speech as well as open the event. In his speech, he expressed hope regarding the launch of sectoral electronic catalogs. “By the direction and expectations of the President there are 6 health sector reforms that we must do, including primary, secondary service reform, health resilience, health financing system, human resources system, and health technology system,” said Menkes.

The launch of the health sectoral e-catalog deals with the reform of health resilience systems and human resources. The goal is to improve human resources in the health sector to realize a professional Ministry of Health, more integrity, focus on serving the community, and work to achieve government targets. It is hoped that this e-catalog system can help health procurement be more transparent, well-managed, and support the creation of human resources in the Ministry of Health with integrity and professionals.
The Minister of Health also invites all health partners to create human resources with integrity. “With the launch of this e-catalog, we hope that all manufacturers of drugs, vaccines, medical devices can invite their partners to invest in Indonesia. Because the procurement of medical device manufacturers in the country will be prioritized by the government from upstream to downstream, “said Menkes.
Menkes will also target domestic medical device manufacturers who can enter the e-catalog. “I will set a target for this year should be above 20,000 (health businesses) have entered the e-catalog. If it can be above June it is already above 20,000 who entered, “he continued.
Domestic health equipment manufacturers will get priority in this sectoral e-catalog as long as they are eligible. Menkes will later monitor directly in terms of the purchase and distribution of medical device procurement. “I also hope that in July with the support of LKPP and also the KPK this health catalog can be opened to other parties outside the ministry of health, both local and private governments so that all health sectoral entities can access this e-catalog,” he said at the end of his speech.
