Surakarta, PT Solo Abadi Indonesia – Solo Abadi sent 367 Anthropometry Kits to prevent stunting to Kubu Raya district, West Kalimantan. The delivery was carried out on Wednesday (15/02/2023) from the PT Solo Abadi Indonesia warehouse located in Mojosongo. The anthropometric measurement tool package is projected to help detect stunting in Kubu Raya Regency.
Kubu Raya Regency itself is one of the regencies in West Kalimantan province whose activities are mostly centered in the Sungai Raya sub-district. Last year, the regent of Kubu Raya Muda Mahendrawan targeted his area to achieve zero stunting by 2024. This means that the regent hopes that his area will be free from stunting cases by 2024. Solo Abadi hopes that our products can be a supporting aspect of the success of the zero stunting agenda.
The Importance of the Presence of Anthropometric Measuring Instruments
The anthropometric measurement tool itself is a crucial aspect in reducing the prevalence of stunting. This is because anthropometric measurements are a way to detect stunting from an early age, by comparing a child’s size with the average weight and height for their age. If an imbalance is detected—the child’s weight and height are below average, intervention can be immediately carried out to prevent the possibility of stunting.
The anthropometry kit sent to Kubu Raya district is the SK-92 type. The package includes a Portable Stadiometer, Infantometer Board, LILA, Adult Scales, Digital Baby Scales and also an Anthropometry Bag. Slightly different from SK-88, this type of package contains 5 Body Measurement Tape (LILA) extras.
